As in previous years, we will be updating our hours of operation during the summer to help avoid the heat and prevent any potential danger to both our staff and our customers.

Effective August 5th, we will be switching to 8am-1pm hours. Note that we are opening an hour earlier than usual with this change.

Also be aware that this will impact our availability for parties. If you have any questions about our updated schedule, please free to contact us by phone, email, Facebook message, or in-person at our shop.

We’ll see you on the field bright and early on August 5th!

We’re pleased to announce that starting in August, Compass Paintball will be moving a new Ministry Day schedule that will include three Ministry Days every month instead of just two!

In additon to our second- and fourth-Saturday dates, we will be adding a new date on the first Saturday of each month. Hopefully this will provide even more people with a chance to join us on the field each month.

You can see our updated schedule in the sidebar to the right. See you on the field!

We have just published the Ministry Day schedule for the remainder of this year. Things will run as usual on the second and fourth Saturdays of each month with few exceptions.

In November we have currently scheduled a Ministry Day for the fourth Saturday of the month, which falls on the weekend after Thanksgiving. We may change this date or remove it from the schedule depending on referee availability and customer demand as we get closer to that date. Please keep an eye on the calendar and this blog for any updates.

You’ll also notice that we have moved the second Ministry Day in December to the fifth Saturday. We don’t think there will be many people in town looking to play paintball (or to work at the field!) two days before Christmas, so we’re taking advantage of the extra weekend that month to make up for it.

Our next Ministry Day will be June 24th. We look forward to seeing you all on the field!

Thanks to everyone who came out for our first Ministry Day of the year yesterday! Here are just a few of the groups that showed up ready to play. We had a great crowd and we’re hoping to see even more of you on the 28th!

Also on the 28th, we’re going to be taking our woodsball players out for some special games on the speedball field so they can get a taste of the excitement out there! We’ll be running the same field layout we shared last week, so take click here to a look and get ready!

As many of you may have noticed, it’s been some time since the Compass was open for walk-on speedball. While we don’t yet have plans to regularly reopen that field, we will be holding a special one-day event next weekend for anyone who wants to come out and play speedball.

If you’ve been waiting for a chance to get back out on the speedball field, November 12th is your chance! Since this is also a regular Ministry Day, we’ll be running both woodsball and speedball.

We’ll be using this day as a trial run to see how things go and determine whether we’ll be able to open the speedball field regularly in the future, so be sure to come out and let us know if you’d like to see us run it more often.

We hope to see you on the field next weekend!

Hello everyone, we have a quick update to our schedule for the end of the year. We had a Ministry Day scheduled for November 26th, but we have removed that date from our schedule so that everyone can enjoy their Thanksgiving weekend off.

We are considering rescheduling that Ministry Day for a different weekend, but have not made a decision just yet. We will post an update if we reschedule.

Last month we announced that due to a lack of manpower, we would be closing down Compass Paintball after our August 13th Ministry Day. Today, we are pleased to announce a change in this situation — this close will only be temporary, and in a few months we will re-open for business!

Dan Melling, one of our longtime referees who many of you have met, has agreed to take over the Compass and run our day-to-day operations once we re-open. Most of what you know about the Compass won’t change after this brief break. Our address, phone number, connection to Faith Assembly, most of our staff, and our mission will still be the same. We’ll just be under new management (and we’re really only changing one letter in the manager’s name!).

Dan has been with the Compass for quite some time now, and previously ran his own paintball field for close to a decade before moving to South Carolina. We’re proud to have him step in and lead the Compass into the next phase of our ministry, and thankful that God has given us a chance to continue on.

Don Robertson, our founder and current manager, will still be sticking around, and you’ll see him at the field from time to time. However, his primary focus will be on recruiting new volunteers to help keep the field running.

Our grand re-opening will take place on October 8th, with the rest of our schedule to be announced soon (look for more information around September). We’ll also have more details about what you can expect during our exciting relaunch as we get closer to that date.

So come on out and have a great time this weekend, and we’ll see you again in October!

Of course, as always, we’re still looking for new volunteers to come help out at the Compass. If you or someone you know is interested in volunteering, please contact us at 843.735.9466 or email [email protected] and we’ll get back to you with details on how you can get involved.
