We wanted to take some time to provide you all with some updates on what’s going on here at The Compass. We’ve got some important changes to discuss regarding our Ministry Day schedule and progress on our new woodsball field.
First, there has been an issue with some of the trees on our current woodsball field. Several trees on the field are no longer sturdy due to disease, death, and damage from a fire several years ago. Some of these damaged trees have already started to fall and need to be removed from the field to ensure the safety of our players.
Unfortunately, we don’t have the manpower at this time to handle the removal of these trees while running at full capacity. To this end, we are announcing the immediate (and temporary) suspension of all speedball Ministry Days until the woodsball field is back in order, so that our speedball staff can assist with the removal of the trees. Any CFOA tournaments scheduled for this time will not be affected by this schedule change.
During this time, we will also be working on the final stages of our second woodsball field. Once it’s finished, we’ll be using this field for Ministry Days and private parties, which will allow players who book parties on regular Ministry Days to have a field all to themselves.
Once these two projects are completed, we’ll reopen the speedball field with a special day for our members. We anticipate that these projects will take several weeks to complete, but we don’t have a set date for completion at this time.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, but the safety of our playeres comes first, so it’s vital that we get these issues taken care of as quickly as possible. Thanks for your understanding during this time. We hope to see you all on our next woodsball Ministry Day on July 26th! Woodsball, semi-auto, and pump players are welcome!
